Lil Baby is on fire! For the fourth time this decade, he’s got the No. 1 album in the country. His latest project, WHAM (which stands for Who Hard as Me), just dropped and came in hot at the top of the Billboard 200 with 140,000 first-week units. That’s right, following the success of My Turn in 2020, The Voice of the Heroes with Lil Durk in 2021, and It’s Only Me in 2022, Lil Baby is still dominating.
Now, while this debut is his lowest first-week number of the four, and only one track, “Dum, Dumb and Dumber” with Future and Young Thug, made it into the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100 (at No. 16), this man is still out here making moves and keeping his spot at the top.
When WHAM dropped, Lil Baby sat down with Complex for a cover story where he opened up about how the album came together. He shared that he started working on it back in September 2023, bouncing between Atlanta and Miami after wrapping up his It’s Only Us Tour. Baby described the album as "young nigga street shit" and made it clear that the whole purpose was to shut down the people who doubted him. Do y'all believe this was his Best Project ?
